The Department of Biomedical Sciences has conducted two days’ workshop for Biology Teachers from 23.01.2020 to 24.01.2020 on “Biomedical techniques”, aimed at introducing novel biomedical laboratory techniques. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Alexander Jesudason, Principal, Madras Christian College in the presence of the Vice Chancellor, Prof PV Vijayaraghavan and Prof KV Somasundaram (Professor of Eminence and Advisor (Academics). The school teachers were trained in various specialization in Biomedical Sciences including Human Genetics, Microbiology, Drosophila Biology, Animal Cell Culture, Bioanalytical techniques, Cellular Staining and DNA Isolation.
