This awareness run was initiated by the Organization for Rare Diseases India, which is an organization established to highlight the challenges of rare disease patients and their families in India. The program that was conducted at SRIHER saw students of the 2023-2025 batch covering 7 kilometers to represent 7000 identified rare diseases. They helped in raising awareness and facilitating patients and families to have support from national as well as international support groups.
July 1, 2023 Chromofest: A Carnival to Remember
In connection with the Silver Jubilee, students, research scholars, and teachers of the department planned a one of its kind fundraising programme. The premises were transformed to resemble a carnival, whereby students and scholars were encouraged to demonstrate talents through food and games sales stalls. More than 1,000 students, faculty members, and staff of SRIHER showed their active participation in the event. The money collected was contributed to Vidya Sudha, which carries out programs for special needs children.
